Prof. Mamdouh Moawad Ali

 

Prof. Mamdouh Moawad Ali is professor at Biochemistry Department, Head Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology Division in the National Research Centre (NRC). He obtained B. Sc. in 1989, M. Sc. in 1995 and Ph. D. in 2000 from Biochemistry Department, faculty of science, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He joined the NRC research team since 1994 till now. His research interest is in the area of Molecular biology, microbiology, cancer treating and cancer chemoprevention (including nanomedicine, photodynamic therapy and photothermal therapy) through halting the molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis using natural, semi-natural and synthetic agents. Also he had experience in treatment of different diseases including diabetes, cancer, kidney and heart using the natural products and synthetic compounds. He is authorized for supervision on about 16 M. Sc. and Ph. D. degrees in medicine, pharmacy and science, in addition, he participated in > 85 training courses as lecturer and he published > 100 international and national publications, 6 international books, as well as 5 prizes and 1 patent application. He is PI and member in several national and international projects. Prof. Ali presented his researches at several international conferences and workshops. Dr. Ali is a member of editorial boards and reviewer in > 140 international journals and in many national and international societies including Marquis Who Is Who in the world, International society of nephrology, International society for infectious diseases, Middle eastern association for cancer research and The asian society of clinical pathology & laboratory medicine. He evaluated > 130 international articles and projects and he also organized many conferences and workshops in addition to his attendance to >30 international and national conferences and participated in many scientific missions as a guest scientist, in 2000 at the molecular toxicology Department, Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ), Heidelberg, Germany and in 2003 he granted from DFG in DKFZ.
